Hooray for the Foray!
They say a truffle in the hand is worth three in the ground, uh right? Well I say especially if it is an edible truffle. Welcome to my first truffle foray adventure. Hunting for Oregon truffles in the Pacific Northwest has been on my bucket list forever. It took a visit to the Oregon Truffle Festival to make this a reality.
But how does one go about being part of a foray? I mean, if you want to forage for truffles, chances are you will choose to use a dog. (Queue inner monologue ..."But where in the heck am I going to find someone with a dog to forage with?!") Finding an "In" is crucial to getting out into the somewhat quiet world of Oregon truffle foraging.
